A formal grievance has been filed against the chief of the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe, according to a notice posted Wednesday.
The tribe's general council filed the grievance, alleging that Chief Paul Spicer has displayed “gross negligence and misconduct in regard to his official duties,” according to the notice.
A hearing and special meeting of the council will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Ottawa-Peoria Cultural Center in Miami.
The council will cast secret ballots as they decide whether or not to remove Spicer from his duties. No other business will be decided.
