ENID, Okla. (AP) — No injuries were reported after a military training aircraft ran off the runway during a landing at Vance Air Force Base in Enid.
Base officials say the T-6A Texan II was returning from a training flight about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday when it went off the side of the runway. An instructor pilot and one student on board exited the aircraft without injuries.
The cause of the mishap remains under investigation.
The aircraft is a single-engine, two seat turboprop produced by Raytheon Aircraft that serves as the primary trainer for pilot trainees at Vance.
