A group of Miami citizens and business people traveled to Oklahoma City and to the Capitol on a Goodwill Tour sponsored by the Miami Area Chamber of Commerce. The group toured the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, met and had lunch with Legislators in the Oklahoma State Capitol; Senator Charles Wyrick, Representative Larry Glenn, Representative Doug Cox, Representative Chuck Hoskins, and Representative Earl Sears, Chair of Appropriations and Budget and the Joint Appropriations and Budget. The group listened as the legislators spoke regarding the pending issues relevant to Miami and the area and asked questions.
The group then sat in the gallery of the Senate and the House and were introduced to both.
