City leaders emerged made no decision on Tuesday regarding the naming of a new city manager.
Members of the Miami City Council and the city's public utility board met behind closed doors for 90 minutes and made no announcement of a decision.
Members of the combined panel offered no explanation for the delay in deciding who will be named the next city manager in Miami.
Three candidates are being considered for the post.
Finalists for the manager position are Mike Randall, 54, of rural Monett, Mo.; Michael Ashcraft, 54, of Olathe, Kan.; and Huey P. Long, 59, of Safford, Ariz.
The three top candidates were whittled from a pool of more than 50 who responded to a nationwide call for applications.
