Midwest Fish Tournaments, a family owned and operated company, is hosting the Big Bass Bash and the Anglers-in-Action Tournament Trail June 13-14.

The Big Bass Bash is for amateurs only. Its unique format allows the weekend angler a chance to win like the professionals.

Unlike most fishing tournaments, which have a team arrangement where prizes are based on total weight, the Big Bass format is distinctive in that it only takes one fisherman just one big bass to win.

In addition to the cash prizes to top three overall awards -based on full field of entries- Midwest Fish Tournaments will award cash prizes for the top 12 largest bass caught during semi-hourly weigh-ins for a total of 96 guaranteed places – a pay out of $79,000.

In addition to the standard payouts, the Big Bass Bash has several ways to win cash.  The Early Bird Drawing

Everyone who enters before midnight on June 1 will be entered into a drawing for their chance to win one of ten $300 cash prizes.

T-shirt Bonus:  If the entrant coming in 13th place has an official t-shirt in their possession when they weigh-in they will win $125.

Exact Weight Bonus

The first person to weigh-in a 3.00 and/or a 4.00 pound exact weight bass each day will win $500.

For the second year, Midwest Fish Tournaments is hosting the Big Bass Bash tournament at Grand Lake.  There will be three weigh-in locations, Red Arrow, Waters Edge Resort and RV Park, and the main location at Martin Landing.

They anticipate close to 600 anglers at this tournament.

Nearly $550,000 has been paid out in cash prizes for the seve Big Bass Bash tournaments that have been held.  Anglers come from all over the Midwest and across the country to fish these tournaments including Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Michigan, Colorado, Florida, South Dakota, California and Tennessee.
