GROVE - City police are looking for anyone who might have information about an incident that happened Friday at the Rib Crib restaurant parking lot.

A restaurant employee was taking out the trash when he was hit in the back of the head and robbed, said Grove Police Chief Mark Morris.

The victim told authorities around 10:30 p.m. as he was closing the gate to the dumpsters he felt something hit him on the back of the head which was the last memory he had before waking up lying on the ground inside the fenced enclosure surrounding the dumpsters.

The victim told police that, when he took the trash out, employees were still inside the restaurant cleaning, but when he woke up no one was at the restaurant but him. He then got into his vehicle and drove to a residence in Noel, Mo., Morris said.

The next day, he noticed all the money he had in his wallet was missing,

If anyone has information about the incident, they are asked to contact the Grove Police Department at (918) 786-6121.
