COMMERCE - Commerce residents will see three mayoral candidates on the Aug. 14 ballot.

Kenneth Duboise, Jack Julian and Kenneth Leggett remain as candidates for the race that is now just more than two weeks away.

Leggett, who resides at 130 North Vine St., and Julian, a resident of 124 N. Maple, each have council experience and both have sat as mayor pro-tem.

Leggett lost his incumbent bid for city council two years ago after being defeated by Lena Enochs.

The upcoming special election was called after former mayor John Crawford resigned from office shortly after he was unopposed in his April 3 bid for the office.
