Steve Owens, touted as “Miami's native son” and a Heisman trophy winner, will be in Miami Thursday to make a sizeable donation to the Ottawa County Flood Relief fund.
The City of Miami will honor Owens at a brief ceremony slated for 2 p.m. in the city council chambers.
Owens will present a $10,000 donation to the account which will used to assist Ottawa County residents through the ongoing recovery from the recent record-setting flood that displaced hundreds of households.
The public is invited to attend.
