A new building is being constructed on the corner of 5th Avenue NW and N Main Street in downtown Miami.

The original building was demolished early April of this year. Past uses of this site have been a gas station, a used car dealership, and even a muffler shop.

Though the wares of the site have changed with the owners, it has always been automobile related, city officials said. It only makes sense, then, that the new owner, Hope Holding LLC, is carrying on the tradition.

The building, when it's finished sometime in late August, will be an EZ Car Credit car dealership with dimensions of 87x44.

The contractor is John Adams Construction of Joplin, Mo.

The construction, which has taken quite a while to get started because of environmental problems, is finally starting to make progress that anyone can see. According to city officials, the construction crews worked extensively to make sure all the old gas tanks were cleared and that everything was ready to go in time.

John Adams Construction took out a permit for roughly $180,000.

The men have been working hard and have, according to the City of Miami officials, followed every guideline and rule when it came to city regulations such as gas, electricity, and water.

The task of constructing this building has been very extensive, but city officials say it will all be worth it in the end.
