A Miami man was arrested Saturday for possession of methamphetamine.

Stephen Paul Turley, 44, was taken into custody at 1:21 a.m. after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

According to Miami Police Officer Aaron Crockett, Turley was initially stopped for expired Oklahoma tags. Upon contact with the driver, Crockett said Turley was unable to provide insurance verification and his driver's license had been revoked.

Upon search, Crockett found a small amount of a substance that field-tested positive for Methamphetamine.

Turley was transported to Ottawa County Jail on anticipated charges of possession of Methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, no tag, no insurance, driving on a revoked license and city warrants.
