The City of Miami has partnered with the Community Foundation of Oklahoma to establish a fund dedicated to relief for flood victims.
Erik Johnson, attorney for the City of Miami, said Tuesday that the fund was established after a number of business owners and private citizens inquired about making cash donations for flood relief efforts.
Cash donations to the Miami Disaster Relief Fund will be accepted at all local banking institutions and city hall, according to Johnson. Donations made by check should be written to the Community Foundation of Oklahoma with “Miami Disaster Relief Fund” noted in the memo line. Donations made through a credit card can be made by calling 1-877-689-7726.
Applications for victims will be available at city hall later today.
