Authorities are investigating the burglaries of two Main Street businesses early Thursday morning.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched shortly after midnight to 304 and 308 North Main St. to respond to alarms that had been activated at the two businesses.

When officers arrived they found the front door of both businesses unsecured.

Authorities say it appears that the subjects entered both businesses through windows near the alley.

The suspects then exited through doors, also near the alley, according to authorities.

Detective Steve Johnston said the business owners were unable to determine at the time if anything was missing.

The incident is similar to a slew of downtown burglaries that happened last December.

Rogers Insurance Company had two days worth of checks and cash and a digital camera taken during the end of the year burglary.

B&B Auto Supply and Bomford, Couch and Wilson also reported cash taken from their businesses the same night.

Two additional businessess were burglarized and attempts of entry were noted at two other locations.
