A man convicted of rape in Ottawa County over 20 years ago has been arrested in Pennsylvania on similar charges.
Clyde E. Haidle, Jr., 46, is being held on a $150,000 bond in the Allegheny County, Pa., jail for raping an 11-year-old girl in Greenfield, Pa.
Greenfield police said Haidle accosted the girl after she got off a school bus then forced her into an abandoned house.
Authorities found Haidle hiding under floor boards at his residence shortly after the girl reported the rape.
Ottawa County court records show Haidle was convicted in 1986 of attempted rape and sodomy, for which he was sentenced to five years in prison.
His sentence was suspended, then revoked following his arrest less than a year later in Ottawa County on charges of forcible rape, robbery with a dangerous weapon and concealing stolen property.
He also was convicted of escaping from the Ottawa County Jail, and sentenced to seven years in prison.
He was given a total of 25 years in prison he served 12 years.
Authorities in Pennsylvania said Wednesday that Haidle has been formally charged with rape, indecent assault, false imprisonment, child endangerment, corruption of minors and two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, in connection with the attack on the 11-year-old Greenfield, Pa., girl.
