Sondra Powell at Hair Garden in Afton said two hearts were left behind from traffic in and out of her place of business after the last snowstorm.

While many have been mesmerized by the dramatic transformation, Powell considers the phenomenon as an early Valentine’s Day gift.

"My husband passed away last year," said Powell. "Since he died, we have found hearts everywhere."

Powell said she has found heart shaped rocks, broken pieces of glass shaped like hearts.

"We even found hearts in the textured ceiling at our shop when we remodeled," said Powell.

Powell said she is not the only one in the family the hearts seem to be trailing. Her daughter and grandchildren have also found objects shaped like a heart that shouldn’t be.

Whatever the reason for their appearance, Powell said she finds comfort in the hearts and those imprinted in the snow made for an interesting conversation piece around town.
