DISNEY - A Grand Lake boat explosion over the weekend sent two children and a woman to the hospital, the Grand River Dam Authority confirmed Tuesday.

Georgia Arneson, 20 months old, Sydney Timmons, 3, and her mother, Lee Timmons, 28, were all burned Saturday when a boat carrying seven people blew up after refueling at Dripping Springs Yacht Club.

The Bayliner boat had just filled up with approximately 35 to 40 gallons of fuel and pushed away from the gas dock, when Jay Arneson flipped on the blower motor and the boat exploded, Alberty said.

The three burned victims were flown by helicopter to Hillcrest Burn Center in Tulsa. The other four passengers were not seriously injured, he said. The two children were transported to Children's Burn Center in Galveston, Texas, and are both expected to fully recover, Alberty said.

Lee Timmons remains in the Hillcrest Burn Center.

Sam Luke, Dripping Springs Yacht Club owner, said the children and the adults were wearing lifejackets and after the boat caught on fire, they all jumped into the lake.

The severity of injuries was not available Tuesday.

Officials also did not release the victims' towns of residence.

GRDA said the accident was still under investigation, said Justin Alberty, GRDA spokesman.
