District Attorney Eddie Wyant will spend three days this week in Oklahoma City at a trial advocacy conference.
While there, Wyant will be instructing prosecutors who have at least five years experience in complex preparations.
“I’ll be critiquing mock trial situations and providing prosecutors with advanced training on cross examination and closing arguments,” said Wyant.
The conference, sponsored by the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council and the Oklahoma District Attorneys Association, is Aug. 18-20. Seasoned prosecutors will participate in hands-on training addressing the cross examination of defendants and expert witnesses and using power point during closing arguments.
“I took the faculty development course,” said Wyant. “And, I taught during the trial advocacy conference last year.”
Wyant said he is looking forward to the conference and it always proves as beneficial to his department as it is to prosecutors throughout the state.
