Friday night proved to be no different as the Wolves fell to 1-2 on the season with a 36-7 defeat against Heritage Hall at Pop Murray Field in Oklahoma City.

Conner Carey got the scoring started for the Chargers in the first quarter with a 16-yard touchdown run to make it 7-0 after the extra point from Parker Kays.

Heritage Hal extended its advantage in the second quarter when Billy Ross Jr. found Robert Mbroh for a 25-yard touchdown pass, with Colby Lewis adding the two-point conversion to make it 15-0.

Ross got his second touchdown of the night in the third quarter with a 65-yard touchdown run, before Jackson Kobe found Joe Washington with a six-yard touchdown pass to make it 36-0 after the extra point.

Davis got its only score of the evening in the fourth quarter when Matthew Dickerson ran for a 46-yard touchdown score, with Devon Gregg adding the extra point. 

The Wolves finished with 42 carries for 229 yards rushing as a team.

Dakota Coberly was the leading rusher for the Wolves with eight carries for 89 yards, with Devon Gregg carrying the ball 14 times for 44 yards.

Matthew Dickerson also had one carry for 46 yards in the contest.

Davis will begin district play next week at 7:30 p.m. against Kingston at Wolf Stadium.

Healdton 7

Things went from bad to worse Friday night for the Healdton Bulldogs. 

In addition to falling to 0-3 on the season, the Bulldogs contest against the Tishomingo Indians was called with 6:28 left in the second quarter, due to an injury leaving the Bulldogs with 11 total players.

Healdton’s only score of the night came in the first quarter when Wade Etter found Israel Shinn for a 70-yard touchdown pass.

Healdton coach Mark Barrett said Friday’s contest against Apache at Horton Field is still scheduled to be played. 

The game will be the district opener for the Bulldogs.
