Early voting will be available at the Ottawa County Courthouse Annex Community Room Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 23-25 for the Run-Off Primary Election set for Aug. 28.

Voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, to vote in the Run-Off Primary Election, and the Ottawa County Election Board has issued a set of reminders and early elections dates.

Ottawa County Election Board Secretary Verna L. Ferris advises voters please keep the following information and tips in mind as the election approaches:

Early voting will be available at the Ottawa County Courthouse Annex Community Room Thursday, Aug. 23 and Friday, Aug. 24 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. On election day voters will cast their ballots at their designated polling place. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28. Anyone who needs to look up their polling place, verify their registration information, or view a sample ballot can do so online. The Online Voter Tool can be accessed on the Oklahoma State Election Board’s website: www.elections.ok.gov. Sample ballots are also available at the County Election Board office. Oklahoma law requires every voter who votes in person at the precinct polling place or during early voting at the Courthouse Annex Community Room to show proof of identity before receiving a ballot. A voter may show a valid photo ID issued by federal, state or tribal government; or show the free voter identification card issued to every voter by the County Election Board.
