Betty (Ellis) Ridenour, 80, a longtime Miami resident passed away at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw on Sunday, August 19, 2018 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Ridenour was born on September 23, 1938 in Edmond, Okla. to Hubert and Mary (Clemmer) Ellis. She was a homemaker who loved the Lord and was active in church. She was the sweetest thing and would help in any way and never complain. She was preceded in passing by her husband Riley Joe Ridenour, her parents Hubert and Mary Ellis and three Brothers, Jim Ellis, Earl Ellis and Paul Ellis.
Survivors include a son Mark D. Ridenour and his wife Krystal of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a daughter Brenda Sommer and her husband Gary of Miami, a brother Joe Ellis of Claremore, a sister Naomi Aday of Chanute, Kan., her grandchildren Mandy Ridenour of Miami, Kristal Richard and her husband Oliver of Bentonville, Ark., Kyle Sommer and his wife Kylee of Miami and his great grandchildren Charleigh Richard, Kysen Robison, Kynlee Sommer, Sarah Ridenour, Jakob Ridenour and Sam Stotts.
Services are Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Cooper Memorial Chapel at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Miami.
