A vehicle-pedestrian collision on state highway 10 and county road E 176 Friday night claimed the life of a 37-year-old Wyandotte man.
WYANDOTTE – A Wyandotte man was killed Friday when he was hit by a vehicle after standing in the middle of the road, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Michael S. Logan, 37, died at the scene from massive injuries when he was hit by a pickup driven by Ida M. Hashbarger, 80, of Wyandotte. Hashbarger was driving in the southbound lane of state highway 10 when she came upon Logan who was standing in the middle of the lane for an unknown reason, according to a report filed by Trooper Jacob Johnson.
Logan’s condition is under investigation, according to the report.
The collision happened around 10:30 p.m. on state highway 10 and county road E 176, which is four miles south of Wyandotte.
Neither Hashbarger nor her passenger, Loyd Hashbarger, 77, were injured, the report states.
Investigating the accident were Troopers Chris Garner, Jeff Laue, Preston Konemann, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Wyandotte Fire Department, Wyandotte Nation Police, and Quapaw Tribe EMS.
