It's National Gardening Week and the Fairland Farmers Market has created a competition event to celebrate and support local gardeners.

The first week of June is National Gardening Week and Fairland Farmers Market is celebrating by hosting a Garden Competition. Participants (or their helpers) post pictures of their garden on the Facebook event "#fairlandgrown Garden Competition" and get great deals by local supporting businesses throughout the growing season.

This is an opportunity for gardeners to swap notes, and possibly win awards at the last Farmers Market day of the year, likely in October. If you're a gardener or want to help document a local garden, join the event online or we'll help you sign up.

It's also Car Show Day in Fairland this Saturday, with Hot Rods in the Park! On your way to the park, stop by the Farmers Market and get a tasty breakfast burrito showcasing products from Gibson's Farm, Stardust Market Garden, and Lomah Dairy. This Market day is also the last one to redeem the $5 off coupon sent out in the mail last month.

Fairland Farmers Market is located between Family Dollar and Mr. D's off Hwy. 60 (approximately 50 N. Pine St., Fairland), every Saturday from 8-11 a.m. We accept credit/debit cards, Senior Farmers Market benefits, SNAP, and can freely double SNAP up to $20 in fruits & vegetable tokens.
