This week's quick lists of local events and live entertainment to help make the most of this weekend.

1. The annual Ottawa County Democrats Picnic takes place Saturday, June 2 at Riverview Park in Miami from 2 to 6 p.m. Guests include Democratic candidates for Governor, the District 2 Congressional seat, Corporate Commission, Ottawa County Commissioner seats 1 and 3, and Associate District Judge. Bring your chairs and blankets and learn about the people that want to represent you.

2. The Vinita Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to be hosting the 39th Annual World’s Largest Calf Fry Festival & Cook-Off on Saturday, June 2, at the Craig County Fairgrounds and Community Center, 915 East Apperson Rd. in Vinita. General admission is free. Gates will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tasting kits - including calf fries, beans, breads, and cobblers - are $10 at the festival. Calf fries will be served from 11 a.m. until they’re gone.

3. This Saturday come out to the Coleman to hear the music of the Eagles with 'Take It To The Limit: Eagles Tribute' in concert at 7 p.m., June 2. Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for students and children. 5. In theaters this weekend is “Adrift” a PG-13 drama based on the true story of a young couple’s sailing adventure of a lifetime as they face one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in recorded history; “Action Point” rated R and starring Johnny Knoxville as a daredevil who designs and operates his own theme park with his friend; “American Animals” an R-rated crime drama about four students who attempt an audacious art heist.
