The Miami Public Schools Summer Food Program begins Monday, May 21 at Nichols Upper Elementary.

MIAMI – With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. Miami Public Schools will be providing free meals to children during the summer.

This summer, meals will be served Monday through Friday at Nichols Upper Elementary, 504 14 Ave NW, Miami, beginning May 21 to June 15. Breakfast is served 8 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch is served 11 to 11:30 a.m. There are no income requirements or registration. Anyone age 18 or younger may come to eat.

For more information, contact Lisa Namestka at 918-542-8455 ext. 16 or view information on the MPS district website.

Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Miami Public Schools, to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.
