Albert Wesley Meek was born to Emma Adelphia Hill Meek and Samuel H. Meek on May 26, 1925 There he grew up among his family of eight other siblings in San Jacinto, Calif. As he was unable to attend the war due to an eye injury, he was a great asset to his family during the great depression years.
In his early adult years he attended Central Bible College where he met and married his musically talented wife Jean while preparing for ministry. Together they raised their only child Cindy. For many years they pastored in Blue Jacket, Oklahoma. For a season he owned and managed the water company there.
In his retirement Albert continued to preach as opportunities were presented. He made many yearly trips to visit his family members still residing in California. He is the last survivor of his family of nine siblings and of his immediate family members as well.
Those who knew Albert witness that he was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and a man of good character. He entered into his eternal rest on April 25, 2018 at the age of 93 years. He is survived by various nieces and nephews both in the Midwest and California.
Albert’s death marks the end of an era for the Meek family. He was greatly cherished and will be sorely missed.
