A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Miami man over the weekend.
MIAMI — A 42-year-old Miami man was killed about 3:43 a.m. Sunday, March 11, when the truck he was driving overturned approximately 3 miles west of Miami.
Toby S. Foust was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The OHP report says Foust’s 2008 Ford F-350 ran off the right side of the road on US 59, near county road S 530, overcorrected and ran off the south side of the highway.
The vehicle rolled three times, coming to a rest on its wheels. The driver was ejected and thrown approximately 3 feet from the rear of the truck.
Seat belts were not in use, according to the report.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Will Langley of the Ottawa County detachment of Troop L and assisted by Jason McCarthy of Troop XA.
