Quapaw youth basketball players serve dinner to NEO Women's Basketball team.
MIAMI – Members of the Quapaw basketball team served dinner to the NEO A&M College Lady Norse women’s basketball team at the O Club following a home game win Feb. 5 against NOC-Tonkawa, 63-54.
Quapaw 6th-grade basketball player Annie Chuckluck’s parents, Greg and Felicia, prepared a meal of Indian tacos with all the fixings for the winning team.
Members of the Quapaw team and friends served the meal and dessert and then spent time interacting with Lady Norse players following the dinner.
"We always appreciate the support from young players. We try to be an example for them," said Jim Rowland, NEO Women’s Head Basketball Coach. "When they get to this point in softball and basketball, whatever their sport, I hope we were good role models."
The dinner event was a special one, being the first for the Lady Norse Basketball team being served by Quapaw youth players.
