Lucille Coombes passed away on January, 22nd at the Integris Hospital in Miami, Okla. at the age of ninety-four. She was born on September 2, 1923 in Stillwell, Okla. to Thomas and Leona (Campbell) Harrison. On June 29th 1942 she married Chester Coombes and they moved to Miami, Okla. in 1949. Lucille was a homemaker and she also loved being involved with the community as she was the first Cub Scout den leader in Commerce, Okla. and a Girl Scout leader for fourteen years. Lucille also worked with the Boy Scouts and Explorer Scouts. She worked on the election board and taught bible school at the United Methodist Church in Commerce for a number of years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Leona; step father, Clinton Lee Crow; husband, Chester Lee Combes; daughter, Patricia Coombes; great grandson, Austin Coombes; three brothers, Cecil Harrison, Roy Crow and Virgil Thomas Harrison; sister, Victoria Emalane Lukens; two daughter in laws Kathy Coombes and Paula Coombes

She is survived by two daughters Judy Rakes and huaband Jim of Miami, Okla. and Theresa Green of Joplin, Mo.; three sons Leon Coombes of North Miami, Mick Coombes of Miami, Patrick Coombes of Cushing, Okla. a sister in law Ina Harrison of Miami along with Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren

 Visitation will be Wednesday January, 24th from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.

Memorial services will be held Thursday January, 25th at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Miami with Reverend Andy Harrison officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Williams Timberhill Cemetery near Welch.
