Larry Paul Jones, age 77, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Miami, Okla. He was born to Paul and Helen Jones on March 3, 1941 in St. Francisville, Ill. Paul graduated from the University of Southern Illinois and worked as a Surveyor and Civil Engineer. He was also a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. Paul brought the CCI Buildings up to code. He was the very first Federal Inspector on Micro Tunneling Sewer Project in Oklahoma. He worked heavy construction for Texaco Refinery in Illinois. He worked for Occidental Petroleum Refinery Russia at the receiving terminal in Savannah, Ga. He also worked for Industries lay out as a supervisor and inspector of ammonia terminals for farmers in Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and North Dakota. Larry loved to garden and share his produce with everyone he knew.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Helen Jones; step father Lloyd Bolden; step mother Loulla Jones; one son Paul Jones; brother Jerry Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife Pamela Jones.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Miami with Reverend Mark Rickman officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
