Willie S. Duff, 95, a long time Afton resident passed away on Monday, January 1, 2017 in Jay, Okla. Willie was born on January 9, 1922 in Midland Ark. to William and Annie (Hanley) Ferguson. Willie was very politically active with the Democratic Party. She was invited to Lyndon Baines Johnson’s Inaugural Ball. She was active in other local campaigns like the late Larry Roberts’. She was a member of the Rebekah’s Lodge and the Eastern Star and never missed the 4:30 Green Country Coffee Drinkers. She loved to go and playing Skipbo was a longtime member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton. Willie was preceded in passing by her parents William and Annie Ferguson, her husband Cecil Duff, a son Butch Duff, a granddaughter Darlene Dorsey, her brothers Jim Ferguson, Darrell Clements and Hanley Ferguson and sisters Quita Wade and Ruth Ferguson.
Survivors include her daughters Polly Woods and her husband J.A. of Jay, Cathey Oakley and her husband Phillip of Afton, her grandchildren Aarlene Campion and her husband Tom, Monica Miller and her husband Clay, Terri Haines and her husband Mike, LeAnn Bryant and her husband Bryan and Wayne Oakley and his wife Julie, her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Campion, Hayden Haines and his wife April, Hannah Haines, Wacey Bryant and his wife Sara Beth, Tyler Bryant and his wife Chelsea and Lauren Oakley along with her great great grandchildren, Avery Campion, Katherine Haines Poppy Rose Bryant and one on the way.
Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Afton.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton with Reverend Mike Haines officiating.
