Perry Lee Isley, 82, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 in the home. He was born in Hiwassee, Ark. on May 18, 1935 to the late Elmer and Ethel (Rotramel) Isley. He attended grade school in Gravette, Ark. and high school in Porterville Calif. He served in the Air Force from 1954-1958. Perry moved from California to Topeka, Kan. after completing four years on the job training as a household appliance tech. In 1976 he came to Grove and went to work for Home Furniture and Appliance of Miami until he retired in 1997. He attended the Peoria Assembly of God church for four years and the last two years the House of Praise of Grove.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Lavada Isley of the home, three sons of previous marriage Jack Isley of Topeka, Perry Isley Jr. of Hutchison, Kan., Children of present wife Lavada Isley, Danny Isley of Montrose, Colo., four daughters, Debra Stacy of Grove, Diane Downing of Jay, Novella Funk of Hillsboro, Kan. and Regina Shively of Seneca, Mo., brother Lanny Hatfield of Ivanhoe, Calif. along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Ethel (Rotramel) Isley, one son Michael Isley, granddaughter Michelle Leam Downing, two sisters Grace Mozer, Kathy Hatfield, and two brothers Ules Hatfield and Bill Hatfield. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland. The graveside service will be Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Reverend Eric Thornburg officiating at the Glen Abbey Memorial Garden east of Miami. The United States Air Force Funeral Honors Team will be providing Military Honors.
