MIAMI – A Miami man, Joshua C. England, 27, was injured in an alcohol-related one-vehicle rollover at 12:53 a.m. on Nov. 18 on County Road East 80, west of County Road South 600, approximately two miles east of Miami in Ottawa County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's written report, England was the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer and was traveling eastbound on County Road East 80 when he failed to negotiate a curve to the right.
England's vehicle departed the roadway to the left and struck an embankment and then a fence. The vehicle overturned one-half time and came to rest on its top.
England was partially ejected out of the driver's side window. He was transported by Integris EMS to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. and admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.
The OHP lists England's condition as “drinking- ability impaired” and the cause of the collision as Alcohol-DUI (Driving Under Influence).
OHP lists the roadway as dry and weather as cloudy at the time of the event, and seatbelts were equipped in the vehicle but not in use.
The injury collision was investigated by OHP Trooper Jason McCarthy assisted by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office and Integris EMS.
