Jack Robert Thompson, 73, of Commerce, Okla. went to be with his Lord on November 8, 2017. Jack was born on March 31, 1944 to Robert and Juanita (Kelley) Thompson.  Jack graduated from Commerce High School in 1962 and then joined the National Guard and later attended Missouri Southern State University and graduated with a degree in Business and Marketing. Jack married Beth (Marsh) in 1971 and had two children Kade and Keli.

Jack worked at the Hormel plant in Miami, Okla. for 16 years and farmed in Ottawa County for 30+ years. He loved visiting with friends, raising and showing Maine-Anjou cattle, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jack served on the Ottawa County Fair Board, the Commerce School Board, and was Sunday School Superintendent at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 10 years.  

Preceded by his parents and sister Jane Thompson.

Survived by his son Kade Thompson and wife Katie; daughter Keli Whitlock and fiancée Jeff Pulis; four grandchildren Daltun Whitlock, Kali Thompson, JayDale Whitlock and Kutter Thompson; ten siblings and many nieces and nephews.     

A memorial service will be held at the Mound Valley Baptist Church west of Miami, Okla. on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jack’s memory to the Ottawa County Fair Premium Sale.
