Dolores Fay Clark, 82, of Miami, Okla. passed from this life on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan.

Dolores was born on February 15, 1935 in Melrose, Kan to the union of James Andrew and Lulu Marie (Mayfield) Sexton. Dolores was united in marriage to Vernon Dee Clark on May 18, 1953 in Chetopa, Kan. Dolores spent most of her life as a homemaker loving and caring for her family and friends. She later worked at 9 Tribes Tower as a secretary, retiring after fifteen years.  

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Louis Marie Sexton; one brother, Howard Andrew Sexton.

Dolores is survived by her husband Vernon D. Clark; four daughters, Sandra Skach and husband Eric of Ripley, Okla., Karen Farrell and husband Dwight of Joplin, Mo., Patti Prevett and husband Donald of Owasso, Okla., and Verna Ann Clark of Owasso, Okla.; four sisters, Olive Parish of Lancaster, Calif., Bettie Draeger and Bertie Davis both of Chetopa, Kan., and Robina Garrett and husband Wayne of Welch, Okla.; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel. Pastor Geoff Buffalo will officiate. Dolores has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. Online condolences may be expressed
