Patsy R. Brodrick, age 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 25, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Pasty was born on May 2, 1937 in Sapulpa, Okla. to Clem and Martha (Keener) Jones. She was married to Chester H. Brodrick, Jr., for 56 years. Together they raised their family in the Wyandotte and Miami area.
Patsy retired from the Wyandotte Public School, working in the cafeteria and loving on each of the students that passed her way with a hug and a smile. Patsy was a member of the Ottawa Indian Baptist Church serving faithfully for years as Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, church clerk and fellowship committee. She loved the Lord and was always willing to let him shine especially thru her gift of singing.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Chester, her son Steve, her parents, and three sisters Bobbie, Louise and Gertie.
Patsy is survived by three children and their spouses; Ken and Lisa Brodrick, Curtis and Alicia Brodrick and Christi and Bob Hipkins all of Miami, Okla., along with 12 grandchildren and four great–grandchildren. Patsy is also survived by one sister Janie Thornbrue of McCloud, Okla., two brothers Charles Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Harold and his wife Barbara Jones of Miami, Okla., along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Ottawa Indian Baptist Church, east of Miami. Rev. Jackie Crafton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Austin Hipkins, Trevor Convirs, Matt Brodrick, Andy Brodrick, Cody Davis and Casey Brodrick. Interment will be in the Wyandotte Cemetery in Wyandotte, Okla. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Okla.
