Each week of the Walk with Ease Program will focus on a different topic important to successful walking or Arthritis management.
WYANDOTTE - The Bearskin Healthcare & Wellness Center and the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI) Northeast Center of Healthy Aging are collaborating to provide the Walk with Ease Program.
The Walk with Ease Program is a six-week course designed to fit the interests and needs of older adults who want to maintain or improve their quality of life through walking groups. Each week will focus on a different topic important to successful walking or Arthritis management. Participants will develop a walking plan, learn stretching tips and more toward aiding current mobility and endurance.
The Walk with Ease Program will begin at the Bearskin Wellness Center located at 1 Turtle Drive in Wyandotte Thursday, Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. and will continue once a week through Nov. 30. Instructors are provided by OHAI, a program of the Donald W. Reynolds Department of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Oklahoma.
