Robert Wayne “Bob” Thulin of Miami, Okla., passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, Okla. He was 88.
Bob was born January 24, 1929 in Miami, Okla. to Erick William and Amy Luetta (Rhodes) Thulin. He was a lifelong Miami resident. Bob worked for NEO, Frisco and Burlington Northern Railroad as an engineer for 45 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Miami and he also attended First Christian Church in Miami.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Maurine Thulin in 2001, his parents, four brothers , Manuel, Troy, Roy and Kenneth Thulin and by five sisters Velma Doty, Earlene Bussey, Evelyn Middleton, Audrey Cook and Bonnie Ice.
Bob is survived by his step-son, Jesse Hailey and wife Gail of Broken Arrow, Okla., his step- daughter, Jean Ann Colvard and husband Rick of Fairfax Station, VA, three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Pallbearers will be Scott Cole, Bob Cole, Brian Hailey, Caleb Cole, John Cook and Tommy Thulin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Garner and David Windle. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
