AFTON – How well you and your doctor talk to each other is one of the most important parts of getting good health care. But, talking to your doctor isn’t always easy. It takes time and effort on your part as well as your doctor’s.

You can communicate with your doctor better by taking an active role in your health care.

Please make plans to join us on Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Ketchum Senior Center as we look at ways to be more effective when “Talking with your Doctor”. During the presentation, you’ll learn how to get ready for a doctor’s visit, have a successful conversation about your health concerns, make decisions together with your doctor and, much more.

Lee Hilliard, Th.D., D.Min., Outreach and Enrollment Specialist and either Russell Peters or Melinda Bailey, APRN-CNP from Community Health Center of Northeast Oklahoma will be presenting this informative program which includes a PowerPoint presentation, a free guide to help people make the most of their doctors’ visits and a question and answer period.
