The Miami Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying a body found early Friday morning in Gaines Memorial Park.
MIAMI – The Miami Police Department is seeking information regarding the identity of a body found a little after 7 a.m. Friday morning in the Gaines Memorial Park located in the 200 Block of E Street SW in Miami.
The body was located in the park at the end of the cul-de-sac near the Neosho River bridge on Steve Owens Boulevard.
“Officers arrived and found a male subject deceased,” Miami Chief of Police Thomas Anderson said. “No identification on the body at all. We don't suspect foul play, but the cause of death is under investigation.”
Suicide is a possibility in the cause of death, according to investigators and no vehicle was located at the scene.
Anderson described the male as a mid-twenty-year-old caucasian male, with short brown hair, with a skull tattoo on his right shoulder, of average build about 5 foot 10 inches in height.
No other information is being released at this time on the cause of death while the investigation is still pending.
