Judy Kaye Gilstrap, a Monkey Island resident passed away at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa on Monday, August 28, 2017. She was sixty-eight. Judy was born in Miami to Goldie Housley and Helen (Winkler) Heaslet on December 8, 1948. She graduated from Miami High School with the Class of 1967 and then Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where she graduated in 1969. She went to work at NEO in the Business office for over twenty years. She then went to work  in Human Resources for Eagle Picher until her retirement. She was a member of the Jaycee Janes; she served as their president in 1986. She married Gary Gilstrap on Monkey Island on July 3, 1997. Judy was also a member of the Theta ETA Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi. She attended First Christian Church in Afton. Judy was preceded in passing by her parents Goldie Housley and Helen and Walter Heaslet.

Judy is survived by her husband Gary Gilstrap of the home, her children Scott Miller of Miami, Dusty Miller and his wife Tana of Joplin, Sherry Glover and her husband Dennis of Norman, Julie Ehrhart of Norman and Geoff Gilstrap of Norman, a brother Gary Housley and his wife Sharon of Norman, her grandchildren Myla Miller, Ty Miller, Dylan Miller, Cody Glover and his wife Katrina, Jacy Rae Glover, Chad Ehrhart and his wife Alex, Drew Ehrhart, Mitchell Gilstrap and Allison Gilstrap, her great grandchildren Cruz Glover and Presley Glover.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.

Services will be 11 a.m. at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami with Pastor Tyson Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Bob Corlett, Mike Long, Dan Arnold, John Maxwell, Paul Staton and Don Chalupnik.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church in Afton.
