Jacquelyn A. “Jackie” Kreeger, a longtime Miami resident and business owner passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, she was seventy-one. Jackie was born on February 14, 1946 in Marionville, Mo. to Carlos “Jack” and Juanita (Stark) Edgar. She was a graduate of Miami High School with the Class of 1964, and then went on to graduate from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. She married Renick Kreeger in Miami on December 10, 1966. She and Renick are members of First Baptist Church; she loved bowling traveling and playing bridge. Jackie was very involved in the Miami community; she was a member of the Jaycee Jaynes, Integris Miami Hospital Board, Beta Sigma Phi-Theta Eta Chapter, PEO-AJ Chapter, Oklahoma Woman of the year, Ottawa County and State Jr. Miss Pageants, she was selected as NEO Outstanding Graduate of the Year and was a member of the NEO Foundation, Green Country Savings and Loan Board, Miami Chamber of Commerce, Integris Oklahoma State Board, Grand Lake Sailing Club, Ottawa County Route 66 Association and the Pizza Hut Franchise Holders Association PAC.
Mrs. Kreeger is preceded in passing by her parents Jack and Juanita Edgar and two brothers Carlan Edgar and Larry Edgar.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years Renick Kreeger of the home, her son Scott Kreeger and his wife Melissa of Miami, her daughter Spring Rainbolt and her husband Curt of Broken Arrow, Okla., her grandchildren Elijah Kreeger, Joshua Kreeger, Noah Kreeger and Graham Rainbolt, along with a sister-in-law Betty Edgar of Marionville, Missouri.
There will be viewing for Jackie at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Friday, August 25, 2016 from 11a.m. until 8 p.m. where her friends may come to pay their respects.
Mrs. Kreeger’s Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Miami with Reverend Rick Longcrier officiating. Interment will follow at Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Casketbearers will be Larry Gatewood, Jerry Edgar, Mark Edgar, Mike Edgar, Chris Wells and Gavin Edgar.
Honorary Casketbearers will be Jerry Gullett, Jerry Wyrick and Leon Baker.
The family has asked that memorial Contributions be made to NEO Foundation/Kreeger Family Scholarship or the Integris Miami Hospital Foundation.
