MIAMI – To accommodate the big FOX Sports 1 Premier Boxing Champions Miami Downtown Boxing Event to be televised by FOX Sports on August 25 a timeline schedule has been released by organizers and the Miami Visitors and Convention Bureau. Streets will be barricaded and traffic rerouted and parking designated at various times to allow for set up and for the exciting event to take place.

Area businesses have been notified of the plans.

The main event of the show here pits Tureano Johnson (20-1) against Sergiy Derevyanchenko (10-0) in an IBF middleweight eliminator.

The show will also feature middleweights Immanuwel Aleem (17-0-1) vs. Hugo Centano Jr. (25-1).

Two members of Tony Holden’s 4 State Franchise team — Kenzie Morrison and former Olympian Charles Conwell — also will be part of the card.

Aug. 23

On Wednesday, Aug. 23 Miami's Main Street from Central Avenue to 2nd Avenue will be closed at 7 p.m. with barricades placed by the City of Miami Street Department and 1st Street from alley to alley will be closed at 7 p.m. with barricades to block traffic to prepare for the event.

Aug. 24

On Thursday, August 24 the alley on the west side of the Coleman Theatre, between the Coleman and the Miami news Record building, will be closed by barricades at 7a .m. and will remain closed until late Friday or early Saturday morning.

FOX television production trucks are scheduled to arrive at 10 a.m and will park in the alley between the Coleman and the Miami News-Record building.

A press conference open to the public is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Coleman Theatre and fighter weigh-ins are scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Coleman and are also open to the public.

The west parking lot behind the Coleman Theatre will be closed at 7 p.m. for use by event staff and media.

Aug. 25

On Friday secure barriers blocking all streets will be placed, and the site secured early Friday morning. Central Avenue will be barricaded off to allow vendors access to the unit block of Central on both sides.

Roads will remain in this configuration until approximately noon on Saturday once the venue has been cleared and the vendor area may be take down as soon as the area is cleared.

FOX Sports 1's production team will begin production run through at 9 a.m. and the satellite truck will arrive at noon and will be located in front of the Miami News-Record building.

Access to the FS1 Premier Boxing Champions Miami Downtown Boxing Event will open at 5:30 p.m., and the fight card begins at 6:30 p.m.

FOX Sports broadcast will go live at 8 p.m.

The Coleman Theatre and Ballroom will be closed to the public on Thursday and Friday, except for the press conference and weigh-in. Only those properly credentialed, event staff and those with VIP passes will have access to the Coleman those days.

Portable toilets will be set up along Central Avenue in the same area as the vendors.

Community businesses are encouraged to put signage out, spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating, or they may choose to stand during the fights.

Parking will be available for spectators in city parking lots between Main Street and A Streets.

Miami native, Country super star Keith Anderson will be in concert at the Showplace at Buffalo Run Casino immediately following the downtown boxing event. The concert is free to attend.
