Logan Traverse Turner went home to be with The Lord on August 12, 2017. Logan was born June 23, 1934 to Jabe Turner on Jewel Goodwin Turner. He was raised in Commerce, Okla. on what would be known as Turner Ville. Logan worked as a kid doing carpentry for his dad and uncles, Big Logan and Kermit. He also worked in the mines for the American Lead and Zinc. After graduating High School, he joined and served three years in the Marines.
Later he became part owner of Turner’s Filling Station with his dad, brother Bruce and brother-in-law Bud Price. Logan ended up working for BF Goodrich and retired upon shut down after 27-1/2 years.
He married Edna Francene Hurst of Commerce, Okla. having two boys and two girls, Cindy Turner and Brenda Turner. Brenda Turner later in life having a daughter Trinity Lasswell.
In 1970 Logan married Virgie Francene Patrick. They had two kids, Tonya Campbell married to Greg Campbell their kids are Tisha, their son-in-law Aaron, Dylan, Magen, Travis and Justin. A son, Dustin Turner, married to Heather Turner, their children are Kwart, Jabes and Kiana.
Logan and Virgie will also be having a great grandchild this month by Travis and Haley, her name will be Logan Marie Hodge, named after her beloved great grandfather.
Also survived by Logan is his sister Ginger Grassi of Illinois. Preceded in death by this parents Jabe and Jewel Turner, his brother, Bruce Turner, sister Wanda Price and two twin sons passing before birth.
Logan will be greatly missed by everyone as he leaves to join his heavenly family and leaves his earthly family as their hero.
Services will be held on the east side of Spring River at Logan and Virgie’s house at 64501 East 40 Rd, Quapaw, Okla. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 12 p.m.
