Ottawa County Farmers Market celebrates upcoming Independence Day with “Red, White & Blue Night” Thursday, June 29 in Miami.
4th of July is right around the corner. This Thursday is your chance to shop for all the fresh, local produce and handmade products you will need to make your Independence Day celebrations complete. The Ottawa County Farmers Market in Miami is in full swing and has all your summer favorites. You will find tables loaded with tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, blackberries, cucumbers, squash, fingerling potatoes, onions, garlic, and assorted greens. All produce is grown by our vendors from within a 75-mile radius of Miami.
Ramer's Market and Bakery will have fresh-baked bread, cinnamon rolls, pies, and more. Sara’s Grass-Fed Beef will be back with local beef raised in Vinita. Purchase pecans, jams, and jellies from Oklahoma Native Pecan Co. of Miami and honey from Four States Honey in Vinita. Silk Essentials from Jay will have handmade bath products. Arts & crafts for sale this week will include silver jewelry, reclaimed wood creations, monogrammed crafts, glass art, and fine art. Cool down with a shaved ice from the Frozen Cabana.
Join us this week as we celebrate our country’s independence at our “Red, White & Blue Night” at the market. Enter for a chance to win a great fireworks package from TNT Fireworks Stand located in the Miami Walmart parking lot. Wear red, white, and blue to the market and receive free Market Cash. Visit with the American Legion. Grab a bite to eat from Blazin B’s BBQ food truck from Grove. Enjoy live music from Miami’s Aaron Anderson. Come get your picture taken in our patriotic photo booth. We will have veggie stamping for the kids and free food tastings highlighting red, white, and blue produce.
The Ottawa County Farmers Market is held every Thursday from 4-7pm under the outdoor pavilion at All Saints Episcopal Church, 225 B St NW, in downtown Miami. Handicapped parking is located next to the pavilion. We accept credit, debit, SNAP, and participate in the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Stop by the information table to ask us about the Double Up Oklahoma program for SNAP recipients, pick up a free recipe, and to grab the last of our free 2017 reusable tote bags.
