OTTAWA COUNTY– Ottawa County District 1 Commissioner, John Clarke, is advising residents in the Northern District of district-wide trash days on Friday, April 21 and Saturday, April 22 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If raining, alternate dates will be Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where to Go

Items can be taken for disposal to the fenced-in lot across the street from the County Maintenance Shop located at 101 N. Connell Ave. in Picher. The fenced-in area is across the street on Main Street, behind where the old Post office was located.

Items Accepted

Furniture, Refrigerators (with Freon removed), Freezers (with Freon removed), Passenger tires only “IF” disconnected from wheels (only 8 passenger tires per person due to state pickup availability and no businesses), Batteries, etc.

Items Not Accepted

No household trash, no paint, no solvents, no chemicals of any kind, no hazardous material and no oil.


Items will only be accepted during the above-listed dates and times. These are the only dates and times that the Northern District has scheduled for clean-up. The Northern District towns do not have dates scheduled through Ottawa County District 1.
