MIAMI— Music was played, friendships re-made, and memories displayed during the 2017 Miami Reunion Weekend, which ran March 3 through 5.
The Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau revived two of the most popular events of the City's 125th-anniversary celebration this past weekend by inviting back Miami Schools and BF Goodrich alumni and their families for a dual reunion.
The Miami All-School and BF Goodrich reunion was held at the Miami Civic Center Saturday afternoon. Miami Schools and Goodrich colors decorated the banquet room where friends and colleagues gathered together to reminisce and catch up on what's new. On display were photos spanning Miami's history from the Dobson Museum along with pictures of Miami schools and the Goodrich plant while reunion crowds enjoyed light refreshments.
Ahead of and after the reunion event, Miami was the scene of individual class gatherings, special tours and great entertainment at the Coleman Theatre Beautiful to round out the special weekend.
Currently, the Miami Reunion Weekend is being planned as an annual event that will take place the first weekend of March each year.
