The Miami Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to provide fun and entertainment for kids at the three day Native American Festival Miami NOW, Friday through Sunday at the Miami Fairgrounds, Cindy Morris, chamber president, said.

She said KIDZ Alley is free for children and includes inflatable bounce houses for children 8 years and younger, bungee jump, climbing wall, coconut tree swing, pony rides, petting zoo, BMX games, bicycle driving, fire and safety activities, magician and storytelling, arts and crafts, face painting, balloon art, finger painting, a scavenger hunt and more.

Admission is free, plus you will receive a one day membership, she said. Spectators are welcome to try this great family sport. Miami BMX Park will also host BMX games and activities at KIDZ Alley at the Miami Fairgrounds Friday, from 4-6:30 p.m., Saturday, from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Sunday, from 11 a.m.-noon. BMX races are will be held at the Miami BMX Park Friday at 7:45 p.m., Saturday at 6:45 p.m. and Sunday at 1:45 p.m.

Morris said new to the Miami NOW event this year is the carnival which begins Thursday, from 6-10 p.m. and continues Friday from 5-10 p.m., Saturday, from 1-10 p.m. and Sunday from 12-5 p.m.

Advance wristbands are on sale until 5 p.m. today at the Miami Area Chamber of Commerce (cash or credit card), Shawnee Tribal Office, Miami Visitor Center and Copper Creek Flea Market (cash sales only). Wristbands ($20) or tickets may also be purchased at the gate.
