Starting Nov.1, shoppers in Miami will not have to drive far to shop for bargains as Speciality Retailers, Inc. opens Steele’s in Miami.
Speciality Retailers, Inc. also own Goody’s and Stage stores around the area. In fact, the new Steele’s will open just south of Stage in the Market Square shopping area.
The store is 10,000 square feet and will feature overstocks from other department stores at discounted prices, which is similar to a TJ Maxx.
Steele’s will feature: luggage, some jewelry, some perfume, bath and body essentials, home décor, bathroom and bedroom items, clothing and shoes to fit the whole family, and toys. Store hours are expected to be similar to Stage at 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 12-6 p.m. on Sundays.
Steele’s will employ 30 people to start as it sets up its displays. From those 30, Manager Laura Chandler will be picking a few to work at the store on a regular basis as associates.
Eventually, the staff will consist of six people with three full time supervisors and three part time associates.
“I want this store to be successful and a nice store for people to shop at,” Chandler said.
