JAY – An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a 75-year-old Delaware County man accused of molesting a teenage boy.

Johnnie Norman Warren of Jay has not been formally charged. The arrest warrant seeks Warren on complaints of lewd acts against a child under 16 years of age, forcible sodomy, furnishing alcohol, obscene material and tobacco to a minor.

Bail is set at $72,000.

Warren who works at a Delaware County senior citizens food delivery program, is expected to surrender to authorities Thursday.

The 14-year-old victim told authorities Warren assaulted him about 10 times at the suspect’s residence, according to an arrest affidavit signed by Mike Eason, an investigator for the district attorney’s office. 

Warren also gave the teen alcohol, cigarettes, clothes, shoes, an all-terrain vehicle, beer, wine, wine coolers, chewing tobacco and money, according to the affidavit.

When interviewed by authorities Warren said “he bought the ATV for himself but he thought (the victim) was telling people that Warren bought him the ATV,” the affidavit states. Warren told authorities he purchased the ATV two months ago but the victim drove it and tore it up.  

Warren also told authorities when he lived in Exeter,

Sanwakeen Valley, California; he was accused of sexual misconduct and he was accused of molesting a child in the 1960s, the affidavit states. 

He also admitted to authorities to giving the victim spending money for helping him around the house, buying the teen skateboard shoes, a pair of shoes and five shirts at a yard sale and a birthday cake.

Warren told investigators he didn’t see anything wrong with allowing preteen and 13-year-old boys to look at a Playboy magazine, the affidavit states.
