Gary Ray Walker of Grove died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at his home after a sudden illness. He was 58.
Mr. Walker was born June 2, 1949, in Los Angeles to Orville C. Walker and Teresa June (Turner) Walker.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict where he served as a radio operator for mine sweeps.
Mr. Walker married Mary Janet Brammer on Jan. 24, 1970, in Burbank, Calif. She survives, of the home.
He was a retired Union Pacific Railroad clerk and had enjoyed traveling with his wife.
Additional survivors include a son, Douglas Walker of Rosell, N.M.; a daughter, Tammy Romero and her husband John of Grove, a brother, Robert Walker and his wife Cheryl of Virginia and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday at the Romero home in Grove. Graveside military rites were performed by the American Veterans Home Guard Unit.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Turner Funeral Home in Jay.
