Summer is here, and so is football.
Miami Wardog Youth Football is gearing up for its next season and all first-sixth graders are welcome.
Sign ups are June 13 and 25 in the Civic Center, from 5:30-6:45 p.m.
The cost is $85 per child until July 1. After July 1, the cost rises to $100.
Players are responsible for providing pants, cleats and practice shirts. The league will provide helmets, pads and mouthpieces.
Teams will play in the newly formed Green Country Youth Football League, which hosts a majority of its games in Locust Grove, Jay, Vinita and Miami.
Coaches are wanted, too. Applicants must be able to pass a background test, and need to have completed coaches’ training.
For more information, contact Ken Curtis, (918) 961-1659, or leave a message on the league’s Facebook page, Miami Wardogs Youth Football.
